Misinformation and disinformation are all around us but there are ways to combat it.
From the 2016 election to the COVID-19 pandemic, the issue is even more widespread with the 2024 election just days away.
Join TPR for a special, in-person event of The Source. Host David Martin Davies welcomes a panel of experts to discuss disinformation online, how to identify it and how to avoid falling for it. The panel includes:
- Althea Delwiche, Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at Trinity University.
- Craig Scott, senior faculty research associate at the Center for Media Engagement as well as Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication Studies at The University of Texas at Austin.
- Jon Taylor, a Professor of Political Science and Chair of the Department of Political Science and Geography at UTSA.
The event will be recorded for broadcast on The Source on Tuesday Oct. 22. Free validated parking is available at the City Tower Parking Garage. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the conversation starts at 7:00 p.m. for this free event.
