RED RIDING HOOD
SEPTEMBER 27 – OCTOBER 12
By Allison Gregory
When Wolfgang, the “greatest actor in the world,” sets out to perform his one-man version of the Red Riding Hood story, he’s interrupted by a delivery driver with a mysterious package and plenty of opinions about how the story should go. Together, they jump into a fast and funny retelling of the classic fairy tale, playing every role and discovering unexpected surprises along the way. This clever, energetic, family-friendly show celebrates courage, bravery, and the strength that comes from working together.

Celebrate the release of the poetry collection BRAVA by Violeta Garza, with masterful performances from Garza herself, as well as San Antonio Poet Laureate Eddie Vega, American Book Award winner Amalia Ortiz, and La Pocha Nostra collaborator Dragonfly Wilson.
As First Matter Press says, “BRAVA is a bilingual gut-punch of a debut—fierce, funny, and full of heart.” Poet Yesika Salgado states: “Garza gifts us a collection of poetry that dares to bare its teeth and name itself a miracle, a Bluebonnet raising her face to the sky.”
There will be light snacks, BRAVA merch, a book signing– and of course, it wouldn’t be a pachanga without the baile. Join us!
