Join the experts from the Texas Conjunto Music Hall of Fame and Museum for a lively conversation at the UT San Antonio Institute of Texan Cultures about the history, culture and evolution of conjunto music. Along the way, you'll discover how generations of musicians have experimented with new sounds, highlighting the fiddle's role in a deeply rooted Texas tradition. Panel discussion moderated by ITC head curator Bianca Alvarez, finishing with a special performance by conjunto musicians Zeth Lara and Aaron Salinas.

The Joyful Educator Retreat invites teachers, principals, counselors, librarians and student-support personnel to spend an afternoon breathing, creating and reconnecting with their passion and purpose. Guests will enjoy nature, wellness, art and music, playful activities, food, beverages, door prizes and time with fellow educators. Facilitated by lifelong educator and advocate Dr. Carol Harle and a team of educators.

County Line Community Band Brings Broadway to the Stage!

Experience the excitement of Broadway as the County Line Community Band presents a free concert titled “On Broadway!” at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Lampasas Performing Arts Center on the campus of Northeast Lakeview College.

Audiences will enjoy unforgettable music from Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof, The Phantom of the Opera and other Broadway favorites. Join us for an entertaining afternoon filled with the drama, energy and magic of Broadway musicals!

This concert is free and open to the public.

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Shows are on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 3 PM. Special show on October 3rd at 2 PM.

Join Juju from Wildflower by Juju in a dual purpose lesson: better acquainting yourself with your sewing machine and how to make your own tote bag! Juju will help you learn the ins and outs of machine sewing, helping you create a tote bag from recycled/donated materials. The session is designed to give you a better sense of using a sewing machine to make you more comfortable using it and how to create a useful, reusable bag.

Conditions:
-Participation is limited to 5 people.
-Participants should bring their own sewing machines with them. Model/brand/etc does not matter
-Cording and outlet surge protectors will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own
-All supplies, minus the sewing machines, will be provided. This includes fabric, thread, scissors, irons, etc.

** Using your own sewing machine for this workshop means you are fully responsible for its operational condition, safety, and maintenance.**

Blanquita is an interdisciplinary artist and business leader from San Antonio, Texas. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, and studied painting at The Art Students League and the New York Studio School.

“Puro Conjunto: Border(less) Sound” celebrates how this uniquely Texan genre continues to thrive in San Antonio, the region, and beyond. The exhibit will highlight the people, places, and traditions at the heart of conjunto. Museum visitors will see conjunto pioneer Bruno Villarreal’s accordion, along with artifacts central to the genre—some of which will be on display for the first time--along with loans from the community and other organizations. Additionally, visitors are invited to get hands-on with a selection of musical instruments at an interactive station on the exhibit floor.
