WHO WE ARE: We are San Antonio's place to make literally anything. From laser cutting, to stained glass, to ceramics, we have it all. Our space is membership based, similar to a gym, but with tools instead of fitness equipment. Come see our 3,500sf building dedicated to creating everything! Whether it’s that funny anecdote you share at parties, an event that changed your life, or a family story passed down for generations, your story matters, and we want to help you bring it to life.
Join writer and performer Marisela Barrera for a free, two-session workshop at the San Antonio Public Library, where workshop participants will craft a 5-7 minute story about a significant moment in their life and present it at a live storytelling show. In this workshop, the instructor will help participants pinpoint a meaningful moment in their life, guide them through the writing process, and provide written feedback and performance coaching. Participants will share their stories at a public performance and final celebration.This workshop is for adults 18+, and no writing or performance experience is required. Native Spanish speakers and bilingual folks are highly encouraged to register.
You will leave the workshop with:
-A fully-formed story ready for performance-An understanding of story elements-Performance strategies for effective livestorytelling-Experience sharing a story with friends,family, and the community
Attendance at all three sessions is mandatory. Students who miss one session will not be allowed to return to the workshop. Session dates are May 3, 10 & 17.
The San Antonio Rose Society is having their annual Spring Rose Show on Saturday, May 3rd, from 1-3pm. A free seminar on “How to Grow Roses” will be held at 2pm. There will be over 100 roses displayed by members of the Rose Society, small bud vases filled with locally grown rose for sale, as well as the winners of the SAISD middle school "My Fiesta Rose" art contest The event is free and open to the public. Learn how to combine portrait and pattern to create unique collages! Local artist Kaldric Dow will share his artistic knowledge with participants to help them create collage art inspired by his own vibrant work. Participants will leave with their own creative work and new craft skills.
Kaldric Dow's exhibit "Collaged Heirlooms" was shown at Central Library in late 2024. His series of collages celebrated the enduring legacy of the Black Panther Party, featuring dynamic compositions that honored the strength and spirit of its members—women, men, and children alike. Each piece interwove intricate patterns and textures, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage and collective memory of the African American community.

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Seguin Council 682 is proud to present the 16th annual Cinco de Mayo Pachanga May 2nd and 3rd, 2025. The Pachanga is an arts and culture festival that celebrates Seguin’s connection to the historic Mexican victory in the 1862 Battle of Puebla.
The festival has something for everyone. From bounce houses to art projects and live Lucha Libre, to a variety of food and craft vendors for you to enjoy. We’re bringing back last year’s crowd favorites, like the Chancla Toss and Concha Eating Contest, and are adding a 'Bark in the Barrio' Dog Costume Contest, and a 'Como la Flor' Costume Contest. In addition to cultural performances by local groups, hear 'Nuevo Camino,' 'Movimiento Cumbia,' the 'Conjunto Cats,' and '512 Degrees,’ our headlining act.

Leyenda and lived experiences inspired the creation of CHUPACABRONA as it centers young folks navigating relationships and realidad. Upon discovering that men in their city are going missing, with allegations that a demon is responsible for eating these “promising young boys,” the friends are caught up in obscuridad! The twins describe their horror-play in terms of “Jennifer’s-Body-meets-TEETH-meets-Cherrie-Moraga-Texan-urban-legend punk rock boy eater.” CHUPACABRONA features las cuatas Sarah and Lilith, Elias Flores III, Martinique de Leon y Peña, and Abel Ramirez. Bree Rubio is stage manager and local band FUCHI accompanies the action.

Presented by the URBAN-15 Group, the Josiah Media Festival is one of few film festivals around the world dedicated to showcasing outstanding works by artists 21 years old and younger.
The 19th JMF will accept film submissions from May 1st – August 1st, 2025.
The festival presents a career-defining opportunity for young media artists to showcase their work around the world. The festival was founded in 2007 in honor of San Antonio filmmaker Josiah Miles Neundorf by his parents, Marcus and Nancy Neundorf, who collaborated with URBAN-15 to create this event.
Now in it’s 19th year, JMF not only streams globally, but has grown to screen films submitted from all around of the world.

Booth and Sanders met while both living in New York City in the early 2000’s. Their water themed work depicts imagery of the female form, as well as aquifer fauna and flora. They also collaborated on an artist book for the exhibition, which additionally includes Sander’s large cyanotypes and Booth’s prints.
