Getting ready for a new school year can be stressful for both parents and kids. To help ease the transition, Family Service is proud to host its 12th Annual Back to School Drive!
This initiative gives our San Antonio community a chance to come together and support local students by providing essential school supplies—helping families start the school year with confidence and excitement.

Looking for support and community? Join the PFLAG San Antonio chapter for their bi-monthly a support meeting for the LGBTQ+ community and their families, friends and allies on the 1st and 3rd Thursday every month from 7-9 pm. PFLAG is the nation's largest organization uniting people who are LGBTQ with those who love and care about them. PFLAG is a non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any religious or political institutions. PFLAG leads with love.

Join us for the Pay It Forward SA Poker 5K! Your participation helps fund our sober living programs, recovery support services, and essential resources for those taking their next steps toward stability, long-term change, and self-sufficiency.
And here’s the twist: It’s a Poker Run! Along the route, you’ll collect five playing cards at designated checkpoints. At the finish line, the participant with the best poker hand wins a prize! It’s not just about speed—it’s about luck, fun, and showing up for a great cause.

Kids of all ages are invited to join in for a free event supporting the CASA organization. Bring a new or gently used backpack, lunchbox, or other school supplies to benefit CASA kiddos for back to school and prepare your own pizza to be cooked by our Pizza chef in our giant oven. Participation is free with the back to school donation.

About This 5k race is not just about running; it's about embracing mindfulness and creating meaningful connections. Participants will start their journey with a guided mindfulness session to center their thoughts and set positive intentions. As they run or walk the course, they'll be encouraged to reflect on personal growth and the supportive community around them.
The purpose of The Mindful Reboot© 5k is to promote holistic well-being by combining physical activity with mindfulness practices. It aims to inspire participants to reboot their minds, connect with others, and contribute to a positive community atmosphere. The event also highlights the importance of mental health and encourages participants to carry these mindful practices into their daily lives.

Race Day Schedule 6:45 AM - 7:45 AM: Packet Pickup Participants arrive to collect their race packets and materials. 7:50 AM: Welcome and Announcements Brief introduction and overview of the event, including any important announcements. 7:55 AM: Mindfulness Session Guided mindfulness session to help participants center their thoughts and set positive intentions for the race. 8:45 AM - 9:00 AM: Race Start Participants begin the 5k race, enjoying the course and reflecting on personal growth and community support. 9:15AM - 09:30AM: Awards Ceremony and Closing Recognition of race winners and participants, followed by closing remarks. 09:30 AM - 09:45 AM: Mindfulness Session A final 15-minute mindfulness session to cool down and reflect on the experience.

Stork's Nest Bowling and Skate Night is event is an opportunity for children to have some fun!
All proceeds raised is for the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter, Stork's Nest Prenatal Education Program to purchase newborn baby items and support the program's operational cost.
