Somos Americanos: Our American Story highlights the ways Mexican Americans have lived out the nation’s highest democratic ideals through public service, civic leadership, and acts of valor. Presenting the stories of Mexican American trailblazers from the battlefield to the halls of justice, from classrooms to boardrooms, the exhibit shows how Mexican Americans have put democracy into action. Opening in July 2026 as part of the America250 commemoration, Somos Americanos affirms that Mexican American history is American history. Opening July 2026!

The exhibit will be on display from July 2 through December 18, 2026.

𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 is a group exhibition that reexamines video art at Artpace through the work of four alumni artists. Each artist investigates the complexities of identity through self-portraits, projections of the self, and the body as a means of self-representation. This exhibition explores both how individuals perceive themselves and how others might view them.

While each artist employs distinct strategies—whether through video performance, observation, reflection on physical change, or narrative experimentation—they are united in their examination of selfhood. Together, these works offer a multifaceted exploration of identity, inviting viewers to consider the many ways it is constructed, performed, and perceived.

Featured alumni artists include Alex Bag, Paul Pfieffer, Kang Seung Lee, and Anne Wallace.

Antithesis in Contemporary Collage is an exhibition emphasizing high contrasts in paper collage, bricolage, and assemblage. Collage is an inherently versatile creative method, often using old and new source materials, with the ability to posture surreal environments by interruptions of scales, figures, spaces, and perspectives. In this exhibition, more intense contrasts are highlighted to elicit something even further, in the way of opposites, or relative extremes– aesthetically, conceptually, and curatorially. Sixteen local, regional, and national artists present antithetical notions of nostalgia, identity, comfort, chaos, destruction, sociology, beauty, and nature.

"Who Is the Man of the Shroud?" museum exhibition in San Antonio offers a unique experience for all ages: Discover science, medicine, history, and art related to the most-studied artifact in history -- the Shroud of Turin. Learn about this ancient, linen cloth mysteriously imprinted with the image of a tortured and crucified man's body. Who is he? You decide. Get up-close with full-size replicas, audio tour, bronze sculpture of the body, and more!

Patch Hours: Opening on October 1st is Tuesday-Thursday 3-8 pm, Friday 3-9 pm, Saturday 11-9 pm, Sunday 12-8 pm
Hayrides: Friday-Saturday 6-9pm and Sunday 5-8 pm

Pull up a chair, grab a rack, and let the tiles do the talking! Join us for relaxed, social Mahjong open play where the conversation is lively, the Jokers are coveted, and somebody is always waiting on just one more tile.

All skill levels are welcome. Come play, practice, meet other Mahjong lovers, and enjoy a little friendly competition. Bring your set and card if you have them, but most importantly, bring your sense of humor.

No reservations. No pressure. Just tiles, tables & good times!

Additional info: Beginners welcome! This is an open play format, while there is no structured instruction during this program, experienced players are on hand to help you get started. This group plays American Mahjong. Bring your 2026 NMJL league card and/or a Mahjong set if you have them, but if not we have some to share while you're here! Adults (18+) only.

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. On October 10th, the Lion’s Field Council is holding “Bargains on Broadway” or “B.O.B.” a giant parking lot sale.

Items available for purchase include a large number and variety of Plants, Clothing, Household Items, Furniture, Crafts, Knicknacks, Art, Jewery, Tools, and a variety of other items.

Proceeds are used to fund adult and senior programs at Lion’s Field Adult and Senior Center.
The event will be held from 8 am to 2 pm on Saturday, October 10 at the Lions Field Center, 2809 Broadway (southwest corner of Mulberry and Broadway).
