Come and join us for a unique event offering some vintage tech. Typewriters will be available for attendees to sit down and manually type out a poem, a few thoughts, or perhaps a letter to a loved one. So come for a nostalgic throw-back or experience pre-PC tech for the first time. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Start your week with clarity and calm. Join the Heartfulness Institute San Antonio for a free, guided meditation session designed to help you relax, center yourself, and restore balance. Open to all experience levels — no prior meditation practice needed. Each session begins with a gentle breathing technique and is followed by Guided Heartfulness Relaxation and Meditation, perfect for both first-time and experienced meditators alike.

This weekly community offering is supported by the Mayor’s Fitness Council and presented in partnership with San Antonio Parks & Recreation.

Unleash your creativity and immerse yourself in the enchanting experience of painting in a dark room! All supplies will be provided, or feel free to bring your own.

The critically acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show created by Jonathan Rockefeller features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets. The production faithfully adapts four stories by author/illustrator Eric Carle: The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show – The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The Very Hungry Caterpillar has delighted generations of readers since it was first published in 1969 selling more than 48 million copies worldwide.

At our monthly healing and communion service we will mark the one-year anniversary of the deadly flooding in the Hill Country and honor those from our community who were lost as we mourn with those who are still grieving.

Join us for this sacred time set apart for prayer and healing. During the service, there will be opportunities for: anointing with oil (Unction), laying on of hands, individual prayer and quiet reflection.

Our annual supply drive benefits three communities in need: children in Kerr County impacted by the Texas Hill Country floods, families in Uvalde continuing to heal from the lasting effects of a school shooting, and children overcoming homelessness at our Fairweather Family Lodge in San Antonio.

Here’s how you can participate:

Could you survive in the woods by yourself? What about just a weekend camping trip? Come learn how to start a fire, tie knots, pitch a tent. We'll also study different survival techniques like edible plants, safe water, and some basic first-aid skills. There will even be a chance to cook a treat outside. What better way to spend part of your summer than learning how to survive outdoors and having fun while doing it?

WHAT: A captivating large-scale immersive art experience, Otherwild, will transform the San Antonio Botanical Garden this spring into a vibrant world where wonder takes root and the sky comes alive.

Debuting Saturday, March 7, the exhibition features colorful visionary installations by artist Patrick Shearn and his internationally renowned studio, Poetic Kinetics, which is recognized for large-scale public art that inspires awe, movement, and creative exploration.

Otherwild invites visitors to step into a whimsical, nature-inspired environment where art and landscape merge. The installation will unfold into two distinct parts:

● Flora Borealis - a custom Skynet installation of ultra-lightweight, kinetic elements that float with the breeze, contrasting the SABG’s natural landscape

● Enchanted Trees - a sculptural grove of ten imaginary species, each with its own personality, crafted from reflective, movement-responsive materials that interact with sunlight and wind.

As the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) celebrates 30 years of stewardship on June 28th, we invite residents, students, businesses, and organizations from Atascosa, Bexar, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, Medina, and Uvalde counties to help us look to the future by showcasing how you're managing the drought. Whether you're collecting rainwater, composting, using drip irrigation, or embracing native plants—we want to see it!

The San Antonio River Foundation's summer camps at Confluence Park explore aspects of the natural environment and artistic process through daily projects, nature walks, community visits and artistic creations. This year, camps are offered for students ages 7-9 and 10-13.

Each day, students will learn about a different theme tied into the ecosystem of the river, park, and the communities that we live in. Much of the day will be spent making artwork that reflects our interest in the natural world. We will sculpt draw, and paint, work together and individually; learn to look and pay attention to things we may have overlooked before. Students should expect to spend time by the river and walking outside.
