Mikel Wilkins is a Senior Engineer at San Antonio River Authority (SARA) and will provide an overview of how SARA is prioritizing implementation of nature based solutions throughout the SA River watershed informed by extensive laboratory verified water quality models. The presentation will discuss the identification and development of multi-benefit project concepts within the Leon Creek, Salado Creek and Upper San Antonio River watersheds.
SARA will also discuss how these planning efforts will complement ongoing CoSA Phase 4 Community Area Plans, betterments to the Westside Creeks Ecosystem Restoration project, and the overarching goal to address impairments to streams in rivers throughout the basin.

Held in conjunction with Alamo Quarry Market’s Fall Sip & Shop, patrons can sample beer and wine while learning all the best tips for how to pack a carry-on for long trips from Osprey representative Koby Crooks.
This year’s Lennox Seminar Lecture Series will focus on the theme of Borders and Belonging: The Arts and Archives of Place. Welcoming artists, scholars, and writers who use a range of artistic practices and intellectual frameworks, this Lennox speaker series will consider contested lands and contested memories, drawing connections across the in-between places where we live and learn.

The South Texas Knockouts is a co-ed junior roller derby league for kids aged 5-17, with a focus on teamwork, athleticism, communication, and inclusivity.
Interested parties can contact us at southtexasskater18@gmail.com to get on the entry list and start waivers. Official onboarding is the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, but any practice is available for a spectator pass to see if it's something your child would be interested in.
The regular 2025/2026 season begins on Sept 15th. Practice is Monday and Wednesday, 7pm-9pm, at Trader's Village.
Club dues are $40/mo for the first skater and $25/mo for each additional skater. Once onboarded, every skater will go through an 8-week boot camp before being sorted into their appropriate skill level.
For interested adults, we also have The South Texas Regulators under the WFTDA for ages 18 and up.
Spectator pass is free for those considering joining. Upon joining, club dues are $40 per month for the first skater and $25 for each additional skater.
