Haunted History Walking Tour hosted by Curious Twins Tours & Events, each Monday in October from 7:30-9pm.

Just south of downtown San Antonio lies the King William Historic District, Texas’ very first residential historic neighborhood.

With its first homes dating back to the 1850s, this neighborhood along the San Antonio River is a living testament to the city's rich history, with each structure telling a story of Texas architecture and the individuals who lived within.

But alongside this significant history are generations of stories of the unexplained, from ghostly apparitions to strange occurrences.

Join Curious Twins Tours & Events this October, who will share chilling stories from a unique source: firsthand accounts submitted by residents, business owners and visitors of the King William Neighborhood. This one-of-a-kind walking tour will bring to life actual stories of the unexplained.

Tour Details

When: Every Monday in October at 7:30 pm
Where: Meet at the gazebo in King William Park, 131 King William Street, San Antonio, TX 78204.

Tour ends at the Arsenal Bridge area, and Curious Twins Tours & Events will walk the tour group back to King William Park at the conclusion.
Price: $25, with a portion of proceeds directly supporting the King William Association.

"Imagine a Day without Water" for students

Gardening Volunteers of South Texas and San Pedro Branch Library will observe the global annual "Imagine a Day without Water"

4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

All local elementary through university students are invited to share their original works.

6:00 p.m. San Pedro Springs walk led by Gregg Eckhardt, beginning at library patio.

Event is open to public free of admission.

In event of inclement weather, event will be held in a nearby indoor location.

The King William Association is hosting the Annual King William Area Yard Sale on Saturday, October 17, from 9:00AM until 2:00 PM. Over 40 homes are expected to participate across the area, featuring items like antiques, pottery, art, furniture, china, collectibles, and more.

In conjunction with the yard sale, the association will be partnering with South Texas Blood and Tissue to host a Blood Drive at our offices at 122 Madison St. The Bloodmobile will be parked in the KWA parking lot, which is behind the building off of Turner St.

Maps and information on the sale will also be available on the day of the event at 122 Madison.

Join us in celebrating the 30th annual Holiday Olé Market to raise contributions to support our signature projects and nonprofit community partners. It is the largest fundraiser for the Junior League of San Antonio, bringing together local, regional, and national merchants for all your holiday shopping needs.

Join the Institute of Texan Cultures and Casa Navarro State Historic Site for a walking tour exploring the history, cultural significance, and lasting impact of corridos and conjunto music in Texas and the greater Southwest.

"Corridos" are traditional Mexican narrative songs that tell stories about historical events, everyday life and notable people.

Participants will discover how music served as a powerful form of storytelling, community connection, and cultural expression, while traveling between two historic downtown sites.

The tour will be offered as part of Downtown West's "Journey West Guitar Wars" urban activation. The ITC portion will include a performance and conversation with musician and historian Juan Tejeda. The price of admission will be discounted to participate in Downtown West’s $5 Deal, which includes admission to both venues.
