Brought to you by the San Antonio River Foundation, BiblioTech and San Antonio BCycle, with support from PeopleForBikes and the Better Bike Share Partnership, this program is your ticket to a wilder side of San Antonio, where each bike ride introduces you to both our city’s unique nature and the perks of using BCycle, San Antonio’s bikeshare system.

Experience the profound musical collaboration of pianist Fredrick Sanders and mezzo-soprano Sheila Sanders. This performance will be a "Convergence" of extraordinary talent and deep musical heritage.

A Virtuoso's Convergence: Fredrick Sanders (Piano)
Fredrick Sanders, a virtuoso pianist and composer, captivates audiences by seamlessly blending classical technique with the soulful complexity of jazz. Mentored by jazz icon Alvin Batiste, Fredrick's talent has earned him recognition and collaborations with legendary figures, including Roy Hargrove, Wynton Marsalis, and Erykah Badu.

His commissioned work, "Convergence," explores the crossroads of humanity's Sacred, Soul, and Secular Art behavior, promising a performance that is both intellectually stimulating and deeply moving. Prepare to be inspired by a program that embodies his mantra: "May Hope always travail."

The Heart of Soul: Sheila Sanders (Mezzo-Soprano)
Hailing from the musically rich city of New Orleans, Sheila Sanders is an accomplished Blues and Gospel vocalist and skillful Lyricist. Her voice rings with the authentic heritage of her hometown, honed through her studies as a Lyric Mezzo-Soprano and jazz vocal performance with Alvin Batiste.

From performing with the world-renowned Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Choir to serving as lead vocalist in Billy Maiden's Blues Big Band, Sheila brings power, depth, and soulful emotion to every note.

Don't miss this opportunity to experience a truly unique and collaborative event that weaves together classical discipline, improvisation, and the rich traditions of Gospel and Blues, all in celebration of the Advent season.

Join us for a senior social hour at the library! Seniors are welcome to join us for socializing, light snacks, and activities. Various activities will be provided. However, feel free to bring your own crafts, games or just join us and talk if the activities do not interest you!

Activities provided include the following: cards, Dominoes, puzzles, chess, checkers, Scrabble, Giant Uno and Monopoly.
