SAMSAT’s seven weeks of T.J. Natarajan STEM summer camps begin June 9th, with schedules offered through August 1st. Full and half-day options are available on a variety of topics for kids grades 3rd through 12th. Weekly schedules, subject matter, link to registration, and how to become a camp sponsor is online at SAMSAT.org.

Emotions at Play with Pixar's Inside Out, the first interactive exhibit based on the award-winning Disney and Pixar film, helps visitors - young and old - understand the important role emotions, memory and imagination play in our everyday lives. Focusing on the five core emotions featured in the film - Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear - hands-on and digital experiences in the exhibit offer opportunities to explore some of the ways we express our emotions - and recognize emotions in others, too.

Rather than conventional display walls, The Fine ART of Dining features sculptural and visual artworks arranged as full-scale table installations, complete with centerpieces, place settings, serving pieces, utensils, and more. Works from artists across Texas—ceramicists, fiber artists, painters, and sculptors—come together in a whimsical, elegant, and sometimes provocative exploration of what it means to gather and share a meal.

Getting ready for a new school year can be stressful for both parents and kids. To help ease the transition, Family Service is proud to host its 12th Annual Back to School Drive!

This initiative gives our San Antonio community a chance to come together and support local students by providing essential school supplies—helping families start the school year with confidence and excitement.

Ensuring that our children are school-ready really takes a village of organizations. Together, we can make a difference!

How do the stories we read shape the way we understand ourselves? Jules Edwards, an Anishinaabe disability justice advocate and author of "I Will Die On This Hill: Autistic Adults, Autism Parents, and the Children Who Deserve a Better World" invites you to expand your worldview by way of your bookshelf. Enjoy a culturally-based sensory activity, alongside a discussion of how literature can uplift our intersectional communities.

You know what dragons really love? Tacos, of course! They love chicken tacos, beef tacos, great big tacos, and teeny tiny tacos. While a boy and his dog are watching TV, they unexpectedly learn the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of what kinds of tacos to serve dragons. Unfortunately, when the boy throws his new dragon friends a spicy salsa taco party, red-hot trouble ensues!

Discover the dietary delights and dilemmas of dragons in this fun-filled production, adapted from the New York Times best-selling book Dragons Love Tacos. It’s a sizzling story full of fiery fun for your entire family!

Join us for an Opening Night pre-show Party in the Park, in partnership with Hemisfair, on Saturday, June 21st, starting at 5 PM! Enjoy music by DJ Mayhem, tacos, aguas frescas, and dragon crafts!

We welcome all middle and high school ages to come join us for a Fiesta Youth meeting. Our youth meetings provide a safe, non-judgmental, affirming place for all LGBTQ+ youth. Every Tuesday, our youth meet at Woodlawn Pointe to meet new friends, participate in fun games and activities (field trips, too!), and join in on group discussions.

URBAN-15 seeks talented drummers with experience from high school, college, or any musical group for the 2025-2026 season of performances. These performances include a wide variety events, including Dia de Los Muertos, Luminaria, and International Festivals. Interested drummers are invited to call (210) 736-1500 or email events@urban15.org, and to join URBAN-15’s drum ensemble during open rehearsals Thursdays at 7pm at 2500 S. Presa. This Open Call is FREE to join, and open to all members of the community regardless of age, race, or gender identity.

Drummers enrolled into the Open Call will practice the ensemble’s various performance styles and genres, including Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and experimental rhythms. Final selections to join the URBAN-15 Percussion Ensemble will take place at the end of the Open Call period during a formal tryout. Those selected to join will be expected to participate in the majority of the season’s performances as well as perform in gear such as illuminated costumes, helmets, and masks alongside URBAN-15’s Dance Ensemble. URBAN-15’s ensembles are close knit groups, and may lead to professional connections within or outside the musical sphere. Ensemble members are also asked to volunteer for miscellaneous duties such as parking assistance, kitchen aid, guest ushering, and more.

Hairspray is a vibrant and energetic musical set in the 1960s that follows Tracy Turnblad, a plucky teenager with big dreams and even bigger hair. Tracy’s passion for dancing leads her to audition for “The Corny Collins Show,” a popular local TV dance program. Despite societal pressures and her plus-sized figure, she wins a spot on the show, becoming an overnight sensation with her infectious optimism in “Good Morning Baltimore.” The musical addresses themes of acceptance, diversity, and social justice, all wrapped up in catchy tunes such as the show-stopping “You Can’t Stop the Beat” and the empowering “Welcome to the 60’s.” With its high-energy dance numbers and memorable songs, Hairspray is a feel-good musical with a meaningful message about fighting prejudice and championing inclusivity.

The 2025 Cinema Tuesdays series is from June 3 to September 2 at the Santikos Northwest theater. Join us at the show each week to experience amazing classic films on the big screen, benefitting TPR. Showtimes will be 7:30 each night, and reservations for all 14 films are available now.
