Cybersecurity expert weighs in on ransomware attack on UCISD.

District officials on Saturday notified teachers and students via email that due to the attack, essential systems will be unavailable.

The details were revealed in more than 25,000 pages of records released after a yearslong legal fight by news outlets including ProPublica and The Texas Tribune.

While Uvalde County and UCISD released records related to the Robb Elementary School massacre, the family of Jackie Cazares is still looking for more information and transparency from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The district sent a letter on Friday confirming that the records would be released to several news outlets that sued for their release three years ago.
