OPERA San Antonio's Explore Opera: Pre-K Edition brings music and storytelling to life for little learners! Created especially for Pre-K and under, this interactive program uses song, movement, and playful characters to introduce opera in a fun and accessible way.

Celebration Circle is an inclusive, multi-faith community with a creative approach to spirituality. We come from a variety of faith traditions and honor our diversity, choosing to focus on our oneness through creative arts, music, meditation, and sacred ritual. Founded in 1992, we are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit offering celebrations and events in order to foster an experiential approach to spiritual understanding. Join us in affirmation that WE ARE ONE! We gather to honor and nurture the Sacred in ourselves, each other and all of Creation in order to foster an experiential approach to spiritual understanding. We hold bi-monthly sacred worship and several "small circle" meetings including DiningCIRCLE (a shared meal) and BiblioCIRCLE (a book club without a book).

The National Vocal Competition Semifinals are a highlight of the three-day Mariachi
Extravaganza Music Festival, now in its 31st year as the largest gathering of the most
talented young mariachi artists in the nation. This exhilarating event showcases top-tier
vocalists from elementary through college level in a high-stakes competition where
every note counts.

Contestants deliver passionate performances before an esteemed panel of judges who evaluate every aspect of their artistry—vocal technique, projection, intonation, pronunciation, and stage presence—all examined down to the finest detail. Only the most outstanding performers will advance to the finals, where they’ll compete for the coveted Grand Champion Vocal Title and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to open for the world-renowned Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán.
Don’t miss this thrilling showcase of the nation’s brightest rising stars, each bringing their best in pursuit of mariachi excellence.

Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Marc Broussard is an artist with a unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock, and soul into contemporary terms. The son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard of "The Boogie Kings," he nurtured his musical gifts at an early age in the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana music scene. After releasing a highly successful independent EP at age 20, Broussard made his major-label debut with Carencro. The album featured the breakout hit single "Home" and catapulted him into the national spotlight. The Louisiana-born and raised artist has created a wide range of music in his career. Carencro laid the groundwork with unequaled style, illustrating his knack for modern soul music and setting the stage for his long and distinguished career. That album and the others that followed solidified Broussard as a southern soul singer with a rarefied talent and an innate stylistic and emotional authenticity that have made him one of the most indelible artists of his generation. Broussard’s incomparable brand of soul, an infectious mix of rock, blues, R&B, funk-pop, and soul coupled with his powerful vocals, has garnered worldwide praise from critics and fans alike. His recent release, S.O.S. 4 Blues for Your Soul, a collaboration with blues legend Joe Bonamassa is a stellar collection of blues and soul classics that debuted at Number One on the Billboard Blues Album Chart.   The fourth volume in his S.O.S. series, the album benefits Bonamassa's charitable foundation. 
 
Marc Broussard's new studio album, Time is a Thief finds the acclaimed singer/songwriter delivering an infectious ten-song set filled with gritty, rootsy hooks and dance-floor grooves, all wrapped around Broussard's fervent vocals. Produced by Grammy-winning guitarist/songwriter/producer Eric Krasno and Grammy-nominated producer/guitarist Jeremy Most, Time Is a Thief has a funky, soulful sound and is wonderfully layered with diverse sonic textures that distinguish it from his previous recordings. His first album of new music since 2017’s, Easy to Love, Time is a Thief arrives via his Artist Tone Label.

All proceeds from this event fund DMF's after-school music clubs at local Title 1 elementary schools.

Their return continues a legacy that spans generations, inspiring young musicians and captivating audiences through breathtaking performances that define excellence in mariachi music.

A Historic Connection with San Antonio

Mariachi Vargas first performed in San Antonio in 1979 as part of the city’s inaugural mariachi music festival, which laid the groundwork for what would become a deep and lasting bond between the ensemble and this cultural capital of Texas.
In 1987, they recorded and toured with Linda Ronstadt on her groundbreaking Canciones de Mi Padre album — the best-selling non-English-language album in U.S. history, with over 2 million copies sold and certified double platinum. More recently, the group spent 18 intense months accompanying Luis Miguel on a world tour with 194 performances, and contributed to his México en la Piel and ¡México Por Siempre! albums.
Mariachi Vargas has performed in San Antonio almost every year since the start of the Mariachi Extravaganza in 1995. Their dedication to performance and cultural excellence makes them a cornerstone of the Mariachi Extravaganza experience.

• MusicBEAT Arts Scholarship Program – Awarded to outstanding high school students pursuing studies in the arts, helping them take the next step toward their dreams.
• Palettes for Painters Art Supplies Drive – Supplying essential art tools to ensure creativity isn’t limited by financial barriers.
• Feel the Beat Musical Instruments Giveaway – Providing middle school students from low-income families with their very first instruments as they begin their journey in band and music programs.
• Tejanos Toy Drive
Partnering with Walmart to collect donations and new unwrapped toys for children with families in financial hardship this holiday season.
