Attention all youth filmmakers, save the date! URBAN-15 and the Josiah Media Festival announce their call for entries for the 18th Josiah media Festival! Filmmakers must be 21 years old or younger, and submit their films between May 1st, 2024 and August 1st, 2024.
Entry Guidelines:
• Filmmakers must be 21 years old or younger• Films must not exceed 20 minutes• Filmmakers must complete all required forms and submit films in valid format, more information at URBAN15.org• Films will be entered into one of four categories: Narrative, Documentary, Animation or Experimental
The Josiah Media Festival will award cash prizes for the top three winners in each film category!

The Voices in Technology project aims to amplify the voices of older adults in the community and provides a platform for their stories to be heard and acknowledged. By fostering dialogue and sharing experiences, the project seeks to promote greater understanding, empathy, and empowerment surrounding technology.Join us, and share your experiences, challenges, fears and triumphs around technology. Our chats will take place every Saturday, join when you can, bring your own mug for tea or coffee.
For older adults, 50+.
Alamo Kiwanis Club presents Fiesta Noche del Rio Friday and Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m. at the Arneson River Theatre in La Villita, 418 Villita St. on the San Antonio River Walk, from June 7 through August 3. Enjoy the Mariachis, Flamenco guitar, music, singing, dancing, bright costumes and a cool drink or snack as you help support children’s charities through your attendance. Net proceeds benefit local children's charities. It’s a fun show for the whole family and a San Antonio tradition since 1957. Tickets: $20 Adults, $15 Seniors (60+)/Military, $8 Children (6-14, Under 6 is free). Tickets on-line and at HEB.

Join Ricos Products as we celebrate our third annual Ricos Retro Roll in our hometown of San Antonio! This event will surely be a funky, family-friendly good time with cheesy nachos, roller-skating, and many retro vibes! This year, we are excited to include the Retro Roll as part of our mascot Rico’s campaign trail as he runs for the Head of Cheesy Affairs. So, join Rico and his pals as they spread the word about fun foods and fun times for all!
A portion of all ticket proceeds will go to JDRF, the leading global nonprofit organization funding type 1 diabetes research.
