At the event, on-site food trucks will offer snacks and beverages*. We'll give away some fun gift baskets and door prizes, and attendees are encouraged to come in costume, wearing their vampire or Halloween finest!

*You are also welcome to bring a picnic basket. No glass containers, please.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

The “Dracula” that most people know was shot in 1930 with a cast led by Bela Lugosi. But in the early days of talking pictures, Hollywood studios would sometimes shoot an alternate-language version of their biggest pictures for the foreign markets. Such was the case with “Dracula.” At the end of the day, director Tod Browning and the English-language cast went home, leaving the sets and equipment to the Spanish-language cast and crew.  Spanish actor Carlos Villarías stars as “Conde Drácula” and is joined by Mexican actress Lupita Tovar as “Eva.” Today, the Spanish-language version of Dracula is considered by many critics to be superior to the English-language version because of its unique cinematography, superior performances, and more daring costume choices. Subtitled in English.
