Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner

More than 30,000 will be served a free Thanksgiving meal.

The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner is a decades-old tradition in the Alamo City. The kitchens at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center are busy preparing a feast for 29,000 in need.

Volunteer registration opens today to help serve an additional 4,000 people due to potential impacts of the government shutdown.

The dinners serve not just seniors, but those experiencing homelessness, veterans and anyone who doesn’t want to be alone on Thanksgiving.

The 43rd annual dinner is bringing the San Antonio community back to the table this year for the first time since 2019.
