“Puro Conjunto: Border(less) Sound” celebrates how this uniquely Texan genre continues to thrive in San Antonio, the region, and beyond. The exhibit will highlight the people, places, and traditions at the heart of conjunto. Museum visitors will see conjunto pioneer Bruno Villarreal’s accordion, along with artifacts central to the genre—some of which will be on display for the first time--along with loans from the community and other organizations. Additionally, visitors are invited to get hands-on with a selection of musical instruments at an interactive station on the exhibit floor.

The father’s legacy. The son’s band. Roger Waters Presents LEGACY - A Pink Floyd Show is an all-new live production celebrating the defining music and visual world of Pink Floyd’s golden era from 1971-1979. Created under the direction of Roger Waters with a band led by his son Harry Waters, a longtime touring musician, pianist and composer, LEGACY features a world-class 10-piece band performing the ground breaking songs from The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall. Harry, who spent more than 15 years performing alongside his father, serves as musical director and leads the band on B3 organ, piano and vocals. Musically, the production aims to recreate the original recordings as closely as possible, while the stage presentation shaped by Roger’s team features a pictorial retrospective of imagery inspired by the original Pink Floyd work, including visuals Roger created during his tenure as the band’s creative force, all presented on high-definition LED video screens. Spanning more than two hours, LEGACY reaches deep into Pink Floyd’s catalog and celebrates the music that defined a generation, music that is just as relevant today.

Rennie Harris Puremovement (RHPM) brings the energy, innovation, and cultural depth of hip-hop to the concert stage in the critically acclaimed production Nuttin’ But a Word, an evening-length work by one of America’s most influential choreographers. Founded in 1992, the Philadelphia-based company is dedicated to preserving and advancing the traditions of hip-hop and street dance while expanding their artistic possibilities. Through a dynamic blend of Campbell locking, house, hip-hop, and b-boying, Nuttin’ But a Word explores Rennie Harris’s guiding principles of individuality, creativity, and innovation. Athletic, expressive, and deeply rooted in African American cultural traditions, the work challenges conventional ideas about street dance while honoring its origins and continued evolution. With virtuosic performers and a bold, ever-evolving choreographic style, RHPM invites audiences to experience hip-hop as a powerful contemporary art form that continues to grow, inspire, and redefine itself.
