Instructor Scott Atkinson will assist in answering questions or solving problems in the use of Roots Magic, Family Tree Maker, Ancestry and Wiki-Tree. Laptops are useful but not required to attend.

Play Together, Make Friends, Get Support!
In this five-week series we will play together and engage in activities that encourage learning and healthy development while meeting and playing with other children and caregivers.
Each week, we'll also have a topic expert on hand to chat and play. You'll be able to ask questions and get information on raising healthy, happy children.
This program is designed for children 0-3 and their parents/caregivers. Older siblings welcome, too!
This beginner-friendly course is specially designed for older adults and individuals whose first language is Spanish. Students will learn the basics of using a computer, including how to use the keyboard and mouse, navigate the desktop, browse the internet safely, and use everyday programs like email, word processing, and video calls.The course also introduces common computer terms in both English and Spanish to help students build confidence using technology at home, at work, or to stay in touch with family and friends. No previous computer experience is needed.
This class is held once a week for four weeks, and each lesson builds on the last. For the best learning experience, attendance at all four classes is very important.
Este curso para principiantes está especialmente diseñado para adultos mayores y personas cuya lengua materna es el español. Los estudiantes aprenderán los fundamentos del uso de una computadora, incluyendo cómo usar el teclado y el ratón, navegar por el escritorio, navegar por internet de forma segura y usar programas cotidianos como el correo electrónico, el procesador de textos y las videollamadas.El curso también presenta términos informáticos comunes, tanto en inglés como en español, para ayudar a los estudiantes a desarrollar confianza al usar la tecnología en casa, en el trabajo o para mantenerse en contacto con familiares y amigos. No se requiere experiencia previa en informática.

Basilica Heritage Tours are free, guided tours that offer the people of San Antonio and beyond an opportunity to learn about the history of Little Flower Basilica and the lives of our Discalced Carmelite saints as depicted through the Stained Glass Collection and other sacred art at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower.

A fun-filled bowling event, fun for families, friends and co-workers. All-you-can-eat food and drinks (non-alcoholic). Also, take a look at the silent auction items, and have your picture taken with Batman of San Antonio. This event has been lots of fun for those who attended in previous years. Please join us for food, fun and bowling.

The South Texas Knockouts is a co-ed junior roller derby league for kids aged 5-17, with a focus on teamwork, athleticism, communication, and inclusivity.
Interested parties can contact us at southtexasskater18@gmail.com to get on the entry list and start waivers. Official onboarding is the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, but any practice is available for a spectator pass to see if it's something your child would be interested in.
The regular 2025/2026 season begins on Sept 15th. Practice is Monday and Wednesday, 7pm-9pm, at Trader's Village.
Club dues are $40/mo for the first skater and $25/mo for each additional skater. Once onboarded, every skater will go through an 8-week boot camp before being sorted into their appropriate skill level.
For interested adults, we also have The South Texas Regulators under the WFTDA for ages 18 and up.
Spectator pass is free for those considering joining. Upon joining, club dues are $40 per month for the first skater and $25 for each additional skater.

This hybrid conference option aims to enhance accessibility and foster engagement among leaders of volunteers who serve nonprofit organizations or publicly funded agencies across the U.S. and globally. The conference also welcomes anyone in the private sector responsible for engaging volunteers including program managers, executive directors, development and communications team members as well as staff in community relations and corporate social responsibility.
Each year, SAJF distributes grants to nonprofits in the San Antonio region for specific projects that will benefit economically, emotionally and/or physically disadvantaged individuals. In 2024-2025, we distributed $75,000 to 14 nonprofits in our community! We are pleased to announce that we will again be accepting applications for grants. Grant applications may be submitted by organizations recognized as tax exempt under internal revenue code 501(c)3 seeking funding of $20,000 or less. Now is the time to get started!
