Join us for a senior social hour at the library! Seniors are welcome to join us for socializing, light snacks, and activities. Various activities will be provided. However, feel free to bring your own crafts, games or just join us and talk if the activities do not interest you!
Activities provided include the following: cards, Dominoes, puzzles, chess, checkers, Scrabble, Giant Uno and Monopoly.

Join us at Molly Pruitt Library for this weekly program on living well with diabetes. A Community Nutrition Education Coordinator with the San Antonio Food Bank will lead us through these classes. Throughout this curriculum, we will lay the foundation for understanding type 2 diabetes and teach various nutrition topics and lifestyle choices.
Attendance at all sessions is not required. Please join the sessions that interest you!

This is a two-part series. Attendees must attend both courses to receive their Angler Instructor Certification. Part two will occur on Thursday October 16th at 5:00pm

Through engaging activities and interactive lessons, you'll learn how to share safe, ethical angling practices while inspiring the next generation of anglers. Join the Monarch Joint Venture for the Online North American Monarch Institute (NAMI) course for educators. This course includes three live sessions on Zoom, full of discussion, activities, and monarch learning. You will also be expected to watch several videos with background knowledge on monarchs, complete a weekly learning journal, and complete three assignments outside of the scheduled sessions. Educators will leave the institute with tools and knowledge to help lead their students, colleagues, and/or community in the science and conservation of monarchs and other beneficial insects. Upon completion of the course and assignments, participants will receive a certificate for 10 CEUs. Each participant will also receive a Monarchs and More curriculum guide.

We welcome all middle and high school ages to come join us for a Fiesta Youth meeting. Our youth meetings provide a safe, non-judgmental, affirming place for all LGBTQ+ youth. Every Tuesday, our youth meet at Woodlawn Pointe to meet new friends, participate in fun games and activities (field trips, too!), and join in on group discussions.
Join Rebekah for a lesson in Book Folding, where you fold pages in an existing book to create a pattern along the paper edge! Participants will receive a lesson including instructions, an easy to follow pattern, and a book to make their creations.
No experience required! All materials provided!

Tickets must be purchased online at least 12 hours before the workshop. No walk-ins. Space is limited. Tickets are non refundable so please plan accordingly before purchasing. Please have email confirmation / ticket readily available upon arrival. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Attendees may bring non messy snacks and drinks in sealable containers. Please note that photographs will be taken throughout this workshop. These may be used by Spare Parts for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication. This workshop is eligible for NEISD Teacher's Choice continuing Education Hours. To obtain a certificate please ask a team member for one during the workshop.
