Last Friday the Department of State Health Services quietly added delta-8 to its list of illegal drugs.

Currently, 39.8% of the Texas population is fully vaccinated. In the Rio Grande Valley, that figure is 37.7%.

Now, providers can place vaccine orders as needed, and the department will fill them as they come in.

As of May 2, state officials say more than 5% of people vaccinated have only gotten one of the two doses they need to be fully vaccinated.
