All pet adoptions include spay/neutering, vaccinations according to age, microchipping, parasite treatment and a starter bag of Heritage Ranch HEB brand pet food.

San Antonio Animal Care Services will host fee-waived adoptions at its shelter on Super Bowl Sunday. The facility at 4710 State Highway 151 will host the event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ACS is cutting adoption fees for all pets in its shelters to $25 on the day after Thanksgiving.

The overcrowded facility said its 'empty the shelters' event continues through July 31.
