The tension between the San Antonio Police Officers Union and the city manager's office is getting even more intense with the recent Union vote of "no confidence" for police chief William McManus.
The vote was 97 percent in favor of dumping McManus claiming he didn't have the backs of the officers.
Many see the vote as an extension of the protracted contract negotiations between the city and the San Antonio Police Officers Association. SAPOA head Mike Helle says it is all about the feeling that the Chief doesn't have rank-and-file's back.
