We invite you to our 17th Annual Paseo Por El Westside, a cultural and historic preservation community gathering in the Historic Westside of San Antonio on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Rinconcito de Esperanza (816 S. Colorado)
As part of National Historic Preservation Month, Paseo celebrates, honors and preserves our cultura, history and our amazing community.
At the heart of Paseo por El Westside are live musical performances, interactive games, vendors, workshops, poetry readings, community partners y mucho más!
We will open the doors to the Museo del Westside, for visitors to step inside, and explore the exhibits and the history and stories behind each one.
Join us for what promises to be a fun-filled and educational experience grounded in community.

The San Antonio Art League + Museum will open its 96th Annual Juried Art Exhibition on Sunday, April 12, 2026, with a public reception and awards ceremony from 3–5 PM. The exhibition remains on view through June 12, 2026.

Selected from more than 500 submissions from across Texas, this year’s exhibition reflects the breadth and vitality of contemporary practice. More than $14,000 in awards will be presented at the opening reception.

Museum Hours: 10 am–3 pm Tue–Sat. Admission is FREE.

On the morning of Saturday, May 9, 2026, the heart of Lockhart will beat a little louder. The Retired Nurses Group of Caldwell County (RNGCC) will transform the Courthouse Square in Downtown Lockhart into a grand celebration of service, health, and community — rolling out a literal red carpet to honor the nurses of Caldwell County who have devoted their careers to healing others.

The event, free and open to the public, is set to begin at 10:00 AM. The centerpiece of the morning will be the Nurses Red Carpet Walk — a formal processional in which retired nurses will be escorted down an elegant red carpet, flanked by velvet ropes and well-wishers, in recognition of their lifetime of service to the community. Organizers say the walk is designed to give nurses the celebrity treatment they have long deserved.

Sprout’N About Farmers Market offers items for sale including fresh produce, artisan goods and handmade finds. Shoppers are encouraged to bring reusable bags to support low waste. Discover hidden treasures while making a meaningful impact at this special thrift-shopping event hosted by CAM. From gently used clothing to unique household finds, every purchase supports a powerful mission: providing mental health treatment to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Proceeds benefit CAM’s mental health program, which offers professional psychiatric care and medications to those whose homelessness is linked to mental illness. The program has helped participants move toward stability through housing, family reunification, and recovery support.
CAM is also seeking donations of sale items and volunteers to help with the event.
