Bat walks are back at Medina River Natural Area!

Kick off Bat walk season with us as we learn all about the many bats that live in Texas. We’ll observe Texas bats in the twilight sky and use a special digital tool to “hear” their ultrasonic echolocation sounds. Don't forget to bring your flashlights and wear weather appropriate clothing to view these nocturnal wonders! This family friendly in-person event guarantees an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts of all ages. We are so excited to see you there!

Observaremos murciélagos de Texas en el cielo nocturno y usaremos una herramienta digital especial para “escuchar” sus sonidos de ecolocalización ultrasónica.¡No olvides traer tus linternas y usar ropa adecuada para el clima para observar estas maravillas nocturnas! Este evento presencial, ideal para toda la familia, garantiza una experiencia inolvidable para los amantes de la naturaleza de todas las edades. ¡Nos emociona mucho verte allí!

On this guided bird tour around the various habitats of Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, guests will see at least 30-50 different bird species with our expert guide. Travelling by both car and by foot to access as many areas as possible, this tour is best suited for the birder age 15+ as it can last up to four hours, though you may leave at any time. Tours are limited. Bring your binoculars, bottle for water, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bug spray.

This group offers a safe and nurturing space where survivors, current battlers and their loved ones can openly discuss their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Whether sharing personal stories, offering advice, or seeking guidance, the group provides a platform for survivors and their support networks to connect, learn from one another, and find solace in knowing they are not alone. San Antonio Neighbors Together is an annual event held on the first Tuesday of October each year. The event focuses on strengthening relationships between local police and the communities they serve. At these events, neighborhoods connect with City departments, and learn tips on crime prevention. We will have local small business vendors, resource vendors, live music, food and more so come on out, bring your blankets and lawn chairs, meet your neighbors and enjoy!!

This Oktoberfest inspired festival will be held on the main plaza in Boerne and will be complete with doggy dash races, a dog costume contest, local beer vendors, music, food trucks, pet adoptions from local rescues, a petting zoo, and more.
