We hold bi-monthly sacred worship and several "small circle" meetings including DiningCIRCLE (a shared meal) and BiblioCIRCLE (a book club without a book).

Singer, songwriter, music producer, visual artist, and writer Neko Case is the consummate career artist — fearless and versatile, with a fierce work ethic and a constant drive to search deeper within herself for creative growth. “One of America's best and most ambitious singer-songwriters" (Rolling Stone) and “essentially peerless” (NPR), Case has long been revered as one of music’s most influential artists, whose authenticity, lyrical storytelling, and sly wit have endeared her to a legion of critics, musicians, and lifelong fans. In addition to numerous acclaimed and GRAMMY-nominated solo records, Case is a founding member of Canadian supergroup The New Pornographers. She is the author of The New York Times bestselling memoir 'The Harder I Fight the More I Love You' and the weekly Substack newsletter ‘Entering The Lung,’ and is currently composing the musical theater adaptation of the Academy Award-winning motion picture 'Thelma & Louise.'

Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Marc Broussard is an artist with a unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock, and soul into contemporary terms. The son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard of "The Boogie Kings," he nurtured his musical gifts at an early age in the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana music scene. After releasing a highly successful independent EP at age 20, Broussard made his major-label debut with Carencro. The album featured the breakout hit single "Home" and catapulted him into the national spotlight. The Louisiana-born and raised artist has created a wide range of music in his career. Carencro laid the groundwork with unequaled style, illustrating his knack for modern soul music and setting the stage for his long and distinguished career. That album and the others that followed solidified Broussard as a southern soul singer with a rarefied talent and an innate stylistic and emotional authenticity that have made him one of the most indelible artists of his generation. NPR cited, "His music radiates soulful Louisiana blues, but his songs blend those influences with raucous rock 'n' roll to create unique and infectious music." 
 
Over the past decade, Broussard released several notable albums with major labels and has since returned to his independent roots with a series of critically acclaimed original and philanthropic cover albums through his S.O.S Foundation (Save our Soul).  Marc has accumulated millions of streams and hundreds of millions of views on viral YouTube videos. 
 
Broussard’s incomparable brand of soul, an infectious mix of rock, blues, R&B, funk-pop, and soul coupled with his powerful vocals, has garnered worldwide praise from critics and fans alike. His recent release, S.O.S. 4 Blues for Your Soul, a collaboration with blues legend Joe Bonamassa is a stellar collection of blues and soul classics that debuted at Number One on the Billboard Blues Album Chart.   The fourth volume in his S.O.S. series, the album benefits Bonamassa's charitable foundation. 
 
Marc Broussard's new studio album, Time is a Thief finds the acclaimed singer/songwriter delivering an infectious ten-song set filled with gritty, rootsy hooks and dance-floor grooves, all wrapped around Broussard's fervent vocals. Produced by Grammy-winning guitarist/songwriter/producer Eric Krasno and Grammy-nominated producer/guitarist Jeremy Most, Time Is a Thief has a funky, soulful sound and is wonderfully layered with diverse sonic textures that distinguish it from his previous recordings. His first album of new music since 2017’s, Easy to Love, Time is a Thief arrives via his Artist Tone Label.

The legendary Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán returns to San Antonio for the 31st Annual Mariachi Extravaganza — the most anticipated mariachi music event of the year!

Their return continues a legacy that spans generations, inspiring young musicians and captivating audiences through breathtaking performances that define excellence in mariachi music.

A Historic Connection with San Antonio

Mariachi Vargas first performed in San Antonio in 1979 as part of the city’s inaugural mariachi music festival, which laid the groundwork for what would become a deep and lasting bond between the ensemble and this cultural capital of Texas.
In 1987, they recorded and toured with Linda Ronstadt on her groundbreaking Canciones de Mi Padre album — the best-selling non-English-language album in U.S. history, with over 2 million copies sold and certified double platinum. More recently, the group spent 18 intense months accompanying Luis Miguel on a world tour with 194 performances, and contributed to his México en la Piel and ¡México Por Siempre! albums.
Mariachi Vargas has performed in San Antonio almost every year since the start of the Mariachi Extravaganza in 1995. Their dedication to performance and cultural excellence makes them a cornerstone of the Mariachi Extravaganza experience.

Mariachi Vargas’ appearance at the Mariachi Extravaganza will be the highlight of a weekend that features the largest and most competitive national mariachi group and vocal competitions in the U.S.

The 120th San Antonio Deutsche Weihnachtsfeier will take place on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 , at 5:30 p.m. at the Margarite B. Parker Chapel on the campus of Trinity University.
The Christmas story is told entirely in the German language using scripture, German Christmas poetry, prayers, choral and congregational singing, and instrumental music. Come and sing Stille Nacht, O Tannenbaum, and other Christmas carols in German! Words and music provided!
The Beethoven Maennerchor and the San Antonio Liederkranz choirs will perform. The celebration usually lasts 90 minutes.
Arrive early to be sure to find a good seat and to hear Dr. David Heller’s prelude on the magnificent chapel organ (begins at 5:00 p.m.).
The annual celebration is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

YOSA Philharmonic returns with the second annual A Holiday Spectacular bringing together live orchestra, ballet, and chorus for a one-night celebration of the season!

This collaborative concert features highlights from The Nutcracker performed with live dancers from the School of Ballet San Antonio, vocal selections by the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio, and orchestral music from the YOSA Philharmonic. The young musicians of YOSA Concertino Strings will also be featured in a special spotlight performance. To top it all off, a guest conductor from the North Pole will make an appearance to lead a fun and festive finale.

Whether you’re continuing a favorite tradition or starting a new one, A Holiday Spectacular is the perfect way for families to share an evening of live music, movement, and holiday spirit together.

YOSA Philharmonic presents America at 250, live at the Tobin Center!

Celebrate 250 years of independence through powerful music that reflects the nation’s spirit, struggle, and soul. Highlights include William Schuman’s New England Triptych, Adolphus Hailstork’s Fanfare on “Amazing Grace”, and a new bass trombone concerto by Sterling Maffe featuring guest soloist Ilan Morgenstern. Former San Antonio poet laureate Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson joins the orchestra with original poetry inspired by Margaret Bonds’ Montgomery Variations, and YOSA Intermezzo Strings make a special appearance.

YOSA Philharmonic closes the season with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5, a gripping journey from darkness to triumph. The program also features Crown Imperial by William Walton, a solo performance by the 2025/26 Concerto Competition winner, and a special appearance by YOSA Capriccio Strings.
