We are thrilled to invite you to celebrate our milestone 70th anniversary on September 27th and 28th at the San Antonio Garden Center 3310 N. New Braunfels, San Antonio, TX.

Join us for a fantastic weekend filled with a variety of orchid and plant vendors, demonstrations on potting, mounting, and much more along with a chance to win fabulous prizes in our raffles.

Our celebration begins Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

This is a free event (donations appreciated), so don’t miss out on this special occasion!

This is a call for much needed volunteers for community events we host on the Southeast side of San Antonio, Texas! All our events are open to the public and to all of San Antonio. Our goal is to help bring much needed resource vendors to our neck of the woods and help support the many small businesses that make up our beautiful city! We are always in need of Volunteers to help with this events, from greeting attendees, answering questions, helping with event setup, giveaways, etc.

Our volunteer opportunities offer community service hours as well!

Rev Tour Festival 2025 — where cultura, comunidad, and celebration come to life.
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, The Espee in San Antonio becomes the ultimate gathering ground for a full-day festival that honors Latino/a/e heritage through music, movement, flavors, and powerful storytelling.

That is, to look at the self from a whole (holistic) perspective and to understand the mind, body, and spirit connection and the importance of balancing all aspects of one’s life.

One major theme of Holistic Health is that we are ultimately responsible for our health and our Holistic Health Care. It is only when we take personal responsibility that we can truly begin to be healed.

Join us for the opening of MACRI’s new traveling exhibit, CISNEROS V. CORPUS CHRISTI ISD: THE LONG FIGHT TO END SCHOOL SEGREGATION.

In 1968, José Cisneros and twenty-five other Mexican American parents sued Corpus Christi Independent School District for illegally segregating Mexican American students into poorly maintained and under-resourced schools separate from Anglo schools. The court found that the school district was intentionally segregating students and ordered Corpus Christi ISD to integrate its schools. This landmark decision for Mexican American civil rights extended the same protections of Brown v. Board of Education (1954) to Mexican American students, nearly a quarter of a century later.

Learn about the history of Cisneros v. Corpus Christi ISD (1970), the people behind the case, and how it fits into larger legal struggles to improve Mexican American access to public education.

San Antonio Black International Film Festival

SABIFF 2025 is proud to return for our 7th year as the Alamo City's premiere Black int'l film festival. This year we begin with a pre-fest, a week ahead of the festival. Saturday, Sept. 27th we present a full day into the evening of fun, food, entertainment and film open to the entire SA community.

Set in the beautiful Lockwood-Dignowity Park which overlooks the city's downtown skyline, you'll be entertained with SA local talent, and graced with a variety of vendors, and food trucks during the day. At dusk we'll present the heartwarming coming of age drama "THE WALL STREET BOY, KIPKEMBOI, by Charles Uwagbai. This event is open to the public. Don't forget your lawn chairs and blankets!

The next week is when we kick in to gear with 4-days of the San Antonio Black International Film Festival (SABIFF) from October 2–5, 2025. Our powerful theme “ACTIonvISM: Action + Vision”—highlights how film can serves as a thought provoking medium to spark activism and social change.

3 - 7:45 PM Roam around the park there will be vendors selling a variety of merchandise, and food trucks as well as social justice information tables set up in the basketball court area. There's a nice playground for kids to freely get their play on.

Entertainment, Black Film Trivia Give aways, and DJ music will play through the day until dusk when we will present our narrative feature film.
SA's Black Cat Funk Band will bring on the funk, soul and pop, and the DJ will pump up the music to get the public to rock.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio invites you to indulge in a night full of bold bites, creative cocktails, and heartfelt community connection at our annual Men Who Cook tasting event.

This unique fundraiser features an exciting lineup of locals — business leaders, community advocates, amateur chefs, and spirited mixologists — who come together for a friendly culinary competition. Each team prepares a signature dish or specialty drink for guests to sample and enjoy, all in the name of raising critical funds for families with children receiving medical care in San Antonio.

Guests will vote for their favorite teams, enjoy lively music and experience firsthand the power of a community coming together to keep families close during some of life’s most difficult moments.
