Guy Raz Charmed the Crowd at TPR's 2015 Pinnacle Dinner

Guy Raz, host of NPR's TED Radio Hour, joined TPR and our guests on Saturday, May 30, at the Whitley Center at the Oblate School of Theology for TPR's annual Pinnacle Dinner. Raz spoke about his time reporting abroad for NPR from London and Berlin, and what he's discovered as a host at NPR, first of Weekend All Things Considered, and then as host of TED Radio Hour. He shared his experiences from the stage in a formal presentation, and during the event in conversation with guests. Texas Public Radio's CEO & President Joyce Slocum presented him with a cowboy hat as a memento of his time in San Antonio.

TPR members at the Silver Circle and higher were invited to the elegant dinner, featuring food by Page Barteau Catering and wine by Bending Branch Winery. A light installation by artist Bill FitzGibbons brightened the rainy evening, as did lovely arrangements from Creative Floral Designs by Helene and jazz music by a trio of musicians from the Mid Texas Symphony.

Special thanks to Group 42 for sponsoring this year's Pinnacle Dinner.
