Rigoberto Ramon Miranda-Orozco helped arrange transportation for migrants who died in a sweltering tractor-trailer in San Antonio in June 2022. The disaster killed 53 people and injured 11 others.

The death was confirmed by U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, who said the 56-year-old Mexican national was found unresponsive in his cell. He’s the seventh person in Texas to die while detained by ICE this year.
