Lerma's Nite Club

The historic Lerma's Nite Club conversion into a BiblioTech Digital Library was bolstered by county commissioners' recent approval of a $1.4 million construction bid.

After a 13-year-battle, Lerma's has reopened as a community center. The club’s lively nightlife came to a halt in 2010 after structural concerns caused it to get shut down. It was far from the recognizable hotspot it once was. The owners and local activists formed “Save Lerma’s," a movement that would stretch across a decade.

In its prime, Lerma’s was a rite of passage for conjunto artists. Its accessible price and vibrant community made it a hotspot for conjunto lovers.
