The Inflation Reduction Act made billions of dollars available for tax credits and rebates for residents buying high-efficiency electric appliances, such as clothes dryers, heat pumps, stoves, and ovens, or home weatherization and electrical panel upgrades.

While Republican lawmakers are loudly against the bill, a lot of the spending will go to areas they represent.
