Families of the 21 victims of the Robb Elementary School Shooting have been demanding Pete Arredondo be fired for nearly two months.

Pete Arredondo, who has been widely criticized for his actions during the deadly Robb Elementary school shooting, told media on Friday he intended to resign from the council, allowing the city to move on "without distractions."
