Voters in Bexar County’s wealthiest school district overwhelmingly approved a tax rate election Tuesday night, but voters in three other Bexar County school districts rejected their districts’ requests for bond funding.

San Antonio voters across five city council districts turned out in small numbers for the 2021 runoff election.

Recent, heavy voter turnout trends weren’t repeated in Saturday’s San Antonio City Council Runoff Election. Bexar County Election Supervisor Jacque Callanan said it’s been quiet all day.

Early voting for the runoff election starts Monday, May 24. Election Day is June 5.

Incumbent John Courage will face challenger Patrick Von Dohlen in the June 5 runoff election for District 9.

Teri Castillo and Rudy Lopez will go head-to-head to represent District 5 in the June 5 runoff.

Phyllis Viagran and Tomas Uresti will go head-to-head to represent District 3 in the June 5 runoff.

Incumbent Jada Andrews-Sullivan faces challenger Jalen McKee-Rodriguez in the June 5 runoff for District 2.

Incumbent Roberto C. Treviño faces challenger Mario Bravo in the June 5 runoff for Disitrict 1.
