The Source: Tolled Expansions on 281 and I-10 In Question

Texas Legislators Sen. Donna Campbell and Rep. Lyle Larson are calling on the Alamo Area Master Planning Organization to drop its plan of a tolled expansion U.S. highway 281 north of loop 1604.

Bexar County Commissioner Kevin Wolff says he and others in county and regional government have been working to obtain the funds that are needed to expand both Interstate 10 and U.S. 281.  He disagrees with expanding one without tolls, U.S. 281, but to adding tolls to the other, referring to I-10.  He wants money for both projects, and thinks there may be a good shot San Antonio can get it.

After decades of congestion on U.S. 281, will we see expansion with tolls or without?  Are you willing to see the project move forward with tolls if it means expansion?

Guests:

  • Lyle Larson, State Representative for district 122
  • Kevin Wolff, Bexar County Commissioner representing precinct 3
