Prescription Medicine Drop This Saturday

Safe disposal of unwanted or expired mediations is important to protect the environment.

This Saturday, you can get rid of old prescription medicines and household hazardous waste without hurting the environment.

MedDropSA is hosting the disposal effort at Alamo City Church, 6500 Interstate 35 North, San Antonio, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday, September 24^th.

You can get rid of unused or out-of-date medicines safely and at no cost.

Just dump your pills in a plastic Ziploc bag. Liquids and aerosols can stay in their original containers.

To dispose of household hazardous waste, you have to bring a recent CPS energy bill.

Since the first event in 2009, 12 tons of medicine have been collected and incinerated.
