Officials Continue to Investigate Turner Hall Fire

Investigators are making progress into a fire that destroyed a Fredericksburg landmark earlier this month.
Turner Hall burned to the ground on the night of June 19.

"We determined that the fire was we believed to be set after a burglary was committed. Right now we're not ready to release the cause of the fire. We're still working on some evidence and when that comes back from the labs we'll have a little better idea of where it was lit and exact causes maybe," says Steven Wetz, Fredericksburg Police Chief.

Wetz says they have identified a person of interest in the investigation but have not ruled out the possibility of involvement by other individuals.
