San Antonio Woman Claims $1 Million In Powerball Winnings

The missing Powerball winner in San Antonio has surfaced.

The Texas Lottery announced Thursday Keely Welder claimed a second-tier prize worth $1 million in the January 13 drawing.

Welder bought her quick-pick winning ticket at a convenience store in Olmos Park.

Her ticket was one of four sold in Texas that brought the winners a million dollars each in the lower tier of the Powerball prizes.

A press release from the Texas Lottery Commission said the winner had asked for minimum publicity.

Welder’s ticket was one number away from getting all the numbers needed to cash in on part of the record $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot.
