The Tejano Conjunto Festival en San Antonio is the first and longest-running Conjunto Festival in the country and is internationally recognized as the most influential event for this beloved and popular South Texas musical tradition. The highlight of the 42nd Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival is the opportunity to hear the very best in Conjunto music from all across the many different styles played in Texas.
The 42nd Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival in 2024 encompasses five days of live performances and dancing, including a special Seniors Dance and Conjunto Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The TCF crowd has continually grown over the years, and draws an enthusiastic audience of approximately 9,000 fans, dancers, and musicians from across Texas and the United States, as well as Mexico, Europe, and Asia.
Each spring for the past four decades, the Conjunto Festival en San Antonio has presented live performances of all of the founders, popular performers, and heritage award winners of the genre, along with dances, workshops, Hall of Fame inductions, and other events. The festival has become a model for many other conjunto festivals which have appeared since it started and is credited with highlighting the singular music and culture of South Texas Tejanos.

Join us for our Free Monthly Online Lecture Series, presented by WritingWorkshops.com and Gemini Ink, on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at 7PM CST via Zoom. Our special guest is author Glenn Blake, who will discuss his latest book, "The Old and the Lost: Collected Stories." Moderated by Cliff Hudder.
These fourteen stories are set in the swamps, bayous, and sloughs of Southeast Texas, a region that is subsiding—sinking inches every year. The characters who inhabit Blake’s haunting landscape—awash in their own worlds, adrift in their own lives—struggle to salvage what they can of their hopes and dreams from the encroaching tides.
About Glenn Blake:Glenn Blake has taught in the English Department at Rice University, the Creative Writing Program at the University of Houston, and the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins. He is the author of Return Fire: Stories, Drowned Moon, and The Old and The Lost: Collected Stories. His novel, Degüello, is due in December 2024. From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO) have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the concert stage. The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard before.
Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-creates the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album, GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage. No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants... a high-energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart-thumping intensity.
This will be a recurring event on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.
