Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew? Led by Alamo Tailoring, this class will teach you the basics of sewing, cutting patterns, and more. You can bring your sewing machine, supplies, and any piece you want to work on!

The Bugs, Bikes, & Botany: Nature Adventure Kit Program invites families to experience the Mission Reach from a whole new angle—a bug’s-eye view! Brought to you by the San Antonio River Foundation, BiblioTech and San Antonio BCycle, with support from PeopleForBikes and the Better Bike Share Partnership, this program is your ticket to a wilder side of San Antonio, where each bike ride introduces you to both our city’s unique nature and the perks of using BCycle, San Antonio’s bikeshare system.

The Business and Professional Toastmasters club meets every Friday at 12:05PM. Guests are always welcomed. Come one come all to a hands on weekly tea brewing class. Learn the simple steps to brewing a perfect, organic, all natural cup of hot or glass of iced tea any time. Do it at home, at work, on the road, literally anywhere you can get hot water (or cold water for cold brewed teas).

We will take all the mystery and angst out of tea brewing and explore the many health benefits of loose leaf and herbal teas. Find the one that is right for you with over 100 flavors and endless flavor combinations.

Raise a glass and tip your hat with us and be part of the 5th annual Uncork to Support San Antonio, presented by Texas Oncology - San Antonio and benefiting the nonprofit Texas Oncology Foundation. Our event is a wine tasting experience and auction benefiting San Antonio families affected by cancer. All proceeds remain in the Texas Oncology - San Antonio community supporting cancer patients through financial assistance and survivorship programing. Four of Texas's best wineries will be featured--Bending Branch, Duchman Family Winery, Pedernales Cellars and Spicewood. The online auction runs October 31- November 7.

A black farce masterpiece, LOOT follows the fortunes of two young thieves, Hal and Dennis. Dennis is a hearse driver for an undertaker. They have robbed the bank next door to the funeral parlour and have returned to Hal’s home to hide-out with the loot. Hal’s mother has just died and the pair put the money in her coffin, hiding the body elsewhere in the house. With the arrival of Inspector Truscott, the thickened plot turns topsy-turvy.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Monte Vista Historical Association 5k Fun Run & Walk! People all ages are invited to run or walk through one of Texas' largest Historic District. Marvel at the turn of the century homes built from 1890-1930 and enjoy passing a variety of architectural styles. The event will start & end at Landa Library. After the fun run/walk is over, stick around the grounds of Landa for kids activities, a holiday market, food trucks & music from 10am - 3pm.

Learn how to beautify your garden and create a welcoming space for local wildlife. Wildflowers native to our region can also help with landscape water conservation because they are adapted to our dry climate and can be watered less frequently than non-native landscape plants.
