Our Healthy Harvest Celebration at Garcia Street Urban Farm is an invitation for all San Antonians to nourish mind, body, and planet by discovering the delights of gardening and spending time outdoors. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in yoga, learn about seasonal harvesting techniques, take in a cooking demonstration, and top it all off with a lesson in mixology. This will be a fun event designed to encourage physical wellness, healthy habits, and an appreciation for nature.
The Healthy Harvest Celebration builds on the 2023 Love, Tito's volunteer day at Garcia Street Urban Farm. Last year, volunteers helped the farm team plant crops, build out perennial terraces, and prepare more land for cultivation. Thanks to these efforts the farm team grew and distributed more than half a ton of fresh produce in 2023. Now, we come back together one year later to celebrate the fruits of our labor!
For the past half-century, our mission has been to inspire heartfelt giving. Wondering why you should consider donating blood? Well, your generous gift has the power to transform the lives of cancer and transplant patients, trauma victims, newborns, mothers, and countless other individuals seeking medical care in hospitals and clinics within your community. Today, let's come together and bring hope to South Texas. Join us for the South Texas Blood & Tissue blood drive and make a difference. Remember, when you give, they live.
