Burnet County Democrats Welcome LULAC State Director, Rudy Rosales, Jr. Launches Hybrid In-person - Zoom Meeting Format The Burnet County Democratic Club will host League of United Latin American Citizens State Director Rodolfo Rosales, Jr., of San Antonio at its first ever hybrid zoom meeting. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:30 am. Participants can attend remotely via zoom or in person at the Burnet County Democratic Club Office, 218 Main Street, Marble Falls, Texas. “Now that many of us are fully vaccinated, we are so excited to welcome our members in person or via zoom for our May membership meeting,” stated BCDCTX President BJ Henry. “We are taking one giant step toward normalcy following a very difficult year with the pandemic and we will celebrate with tacos for our in-person attendees immediately following the meeting.” Rudy Rosales, Jr., of San Antonio is the State Director of LULAC since 2018. Founded in 1929, LULAC is the oldest and most widely respected Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States of America. LULAC has fought for full access to the political process and equal educational opportunities for all Hispanics with voter registration drives, citizenship awareness sessions, health fairs, and tutorial and scholarship programs. In addition to his duties as State Director of LULAC, Rosales is a labor consultant for NAPE (National Association of Public Employees) where he represents public employees. “Mr. Rosales, Jr., has vast experience in political organizing and promises to enlighten our membership on inclusiveness in political action and education,” said BCDCTX Vice President Mary Thompson. Newsletter subscribers will be provided a link to register for the meeting, so be sure to watch your inbox for details. Non-members can request an invitation by emailing info@bcdctx.org. Follow BCDCTX on Twitter and Instagram and visit bcdctx.org for membership information. The BCDCTX general membership meets monthly via Zoom and now in person. The meetings are open to anyone who supports Democratic ideals.
