The $145 billion cost of deadly 2021 climate disasters

Last year was the deadliest year for weather and climate disasters in a decade, according to a new report out this week from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

They also counted 20 disasters that exceeded $1 billion each in damage.

Adam Smith, a climatologist and economist with NOAA, speaks with host Jane Clayson.
