This afternoon on The Source:
It wasn't all that shocking or unusual to see San Antonio listed in the past as one of the least fit cities in the nation. There were plenty of excuses - the local cuisine, the hot weather, poor self esteem. But now San Antonio is bucking the national trend of weight gain and obesity. A new study shows that local get-active efforts and health eating programs are showing results.

The city is slimming down and shaping up. San Antonio, we want to hear how you did it!

Call up and brag about your personal weight loss journey. Did you start going to Zumba? Did you conquer the half marathon? Have you given up sweet tea?

Call us at 210-614-8980.

Augie Myers - San Antono's living rock and roll legend, is being honored with a special event at the South Texas Popular Culture Center.

Along with Doug Sahm, Augie Meyers minted hits in the 1960s with the Sir Douglas Quintet. He jammed with the Texas Tornados, and along the way made rock history with the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and more.
Augie Meyers joins us to talk about his storied career.
