Deaths Of Pearland Twin Toddlers Ruled Homicides

PEARLAND, Texas — The Harris County medical examiner’s office has ruled the deaths of twin toddlers, after they were found unresponsive in a bathtub at their Pearland home, as homicides.

The Brazoria County district attorney’s office says no charges have been filed as of Wednesday night in the deaths of Sabrina and Savannah Russo, both 15 months old.

Police and paramedics responded to a residence in February after a woman called 911, saying her daughters were found unresponsive in a bathtub. The twins were taken by helicopter to a hospital, where one of the girls was pronounced dead. Her sister was taken off life support a few days later.

No further details in the case were released by Pearland police on Wednesday.
