Ilma Vallee is a badass. She is an Air Force Captain. She used to pilot those big flying gas stations, the KC-135s, before becoming an instructor in San Antonio. Her badassery is uncontainable, though. She is also into extreme adventures...like hiking on glaciers in Alaska, and long backpacking trips. She was once approached by a reality TV show where she would have been dumped in the wilderness and would have to survive...while naked.
However, this story isn't about being naked and afraid. This story is about a hiking trip Ilma took where she learned a valuable lesson. All it took was someone else's broken bones.
