A Trump supporter who punched a counter-protestor in the face over the weekend at a Buc-ee’s in Denton is now under arrest.

A video of the incident was widely circulated on social media Saturday.

Denton Police Chief Frank Dixon announced Saturday evening that 44-year-old Jason Lata was arrested after a brief search.

He was being held on assault charges.

The victim was treated for his injures, which included a laceration under his eye, and a broken tooth. Several Trump supporters were meeting up in the Buc-ee’s convenience store parking lot to attend a rally.
