Governor Greg Abbott issued the following statement Wednesday after reports that the group “Return of Kings,” which promotes the legalization of rape, plans to hold events this Saturday in multiple cities across Texas:
“This pathetic group and their disgusting viewpoints are not welcome in Texas. I’ve spent much of my career protecting women from such vile and heinous acts, and it won’t be any different on my watch as Governor.”
Return of Kings has scheduled a meeting on Saturday for what's being called an International ROK Meet up Day. The group is also planning meetings in Dallas, Houston, Austin and El Paso.
