An anti-abortion group has released a second undercover video of a Planned Parenthood executive discussing the process for obtaining fetal tissue and organs for medical research purposes. In the https://youtu.be/vwAGsjoorvk">video, two members of the group The Center for Medical Progress interview Dr. Mary Gatter, a former medical director of Planned Parenthood who still serves the organization, about the cost for obtaining fetal organs.
“(CMP member #1): Tell me what you really want? (Dr. Gatter): $75 a specimen. (CMP member #1): Oh that’s too low, really that’s way too low. I want to keep you happy. (Dr. Gatter): At a lot of other places we do it for $52, you see we’re really not in it for the money. I guess it’s better for you to tell me what are you used to paying.”
Gov. Greg Abbott announced the launch of two separate state investigations of Planned Parenthood’s operations in Texas shortly after the group’s first undercover video of a Planned Parenthood executive discussing the same subject was released last week.
Planned Parenthood says no facility in the State of Texas participates in a fetal tissue research collection program.
