Long-time Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff defeated his challenger by a margin of almost eight percent. Wolff attributes his victory to staying positive.
The long-time incumbent is eager to come back for another term and get to the next phase of county growth. Wolff says that’s what he focused on during his campaign, and it worked.
"When we started this campaign, of course, we'd been through a very difficult year. I wanted to run on ideas, on innovations like Bibliotech, and the investments we'd made," Wolff said. "And I defended my record. My opponent would have killed Bibliotech, would have killed San Pedro Creek. It was a negative campaign, but we kept it positive and we won."
Wolff has a laundry list of projects for the next couple of years. He says he is eager to expand Bibliotech, finish construction at Hwy 281 and 1604 as well as the flood control program across the county, and work to get health insurance expanded at the state level.
