REGISTRATION:
On-site registration will be available the day of the event at the yellow PBS KIDS tent. Families who register will receive a KLRN KIDS Bag and be entered to win door prizes, with drawings every 15 minutes.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
This FREE event features educational stations, fall-themed activities, healthy treats, and outdoor fun. Families can enjoy PBS KIDS episodes at sundown, visit with agencies offering free parent resources, and receive free books. Entertainment includes a Grupo Folklorico performance, games, crafts, science exploration, and a visit from Costume Character Elmo (limited meet & greet times: 6:15–6:45 PM, 7:15–7:45 PM).

Celebrate the changing season at the annual KLRN Kids Fall Festival! Join KLRN at Mission Marquee Plaza for games, Halloween fun, and a visit by costume character ELMO from Sesame Street!

This free community event will feature activities and fun for the entire family. Once the sun goes down, we'll watch Halloween episodes of your favorite PBS KIDS shows on the big screen. Bring your picnic snacks, blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy!

Produced by the San Antonio Philharmonic, Música Libre is presented as part of Fiesta Alegría, hosted by the Avenida Guadalupe Association (www.avenida.org), San Antonio’s official National Hispanic Heritage Month closing event.
This year’s Música Libre features Philharmonic ensembles, including brass quintet, percussion ad lib, woodwind quintet, and string quartet, performing live throughout the evening to accompany the action-packed wrestling battles. In an only-in-San Antonio experience, the music intertwines with the electrifying spectacle of Lucha Libre wrestling by Santa Chiva, creating an unforgettable blend of culture, artistry, and entertainment.

A pillar of the Second Saturday ArtWalk, this monthly outdoor pop up art market hosts local artists, makers, & vendors, often featuring a different school, start-up, or non-profit. So come out to support your local creatives, enjoy some tunes, and grab a bite to eat at our guest food truck! The ArtWalk includes galleries inside 1906, plus those around the corner on Lone Star Blvd, as well as across the tracks on LaChapelle, and along S. Flores, not to mention other pop up markets!

This year, our FREE movie nights on the Will Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza come with a twist! Screenings now happen on Saturdays, featuring quarterly themes showcasing some of your favorite films.

Join us on the second Saturday of the month for a perfect evening under the stars. The plaza opens at 6 PM, and the movie begins at 7 PM. Bring your lawn chairs or a cozy blanket to enjoy the show on our stunning 32-foot LED video wall! Full concessions and a bar will be available to enhance your movie experience.

🌧️ Rain or Shine: These events will go on regardless of the weather. If the skies don’t cooperate, we’ll move the fun indoors.

🚫 Please note: Pets, outside food, and outside drinks are not permitted on the plaza or in our theaters.

Not sure what to expect? Here are a few tips for making the most of your night out:

• Parking: Convenient parking is available at the Tobin Center Parking Garage (227 4th Street, 78205).
• Arrive Early: Secure your perfect spot and avoid navigating through crowds in the dark after the movie starts.
• Seating: Bring blankets or low lawn chairs (no taller than 32" to ensure everyone has a great view). Chairs will also be available on-site as supplies allow.
• Stay Cozy: Cooler evenings call for layers—a long-sleeved shirt or light jacket can make all the difference.
• Share the Fun: Invite your friends! Movie nights are a fantastic way to gather with loved ones and enjoy a relaxing evening together.

San Antonio, TX — October 2025 — Enzminger Studio is pleased to present Monstrous Visions, a solo exhibition of new works by Joseph Turner. The show opens during Second Saturday at 1906 S. Flores on Saturday, October 11, 7–10 PM.

Joseph Turner’s work merges his background in illustration with a painter’s devotion to discipline and experimentation. His practice draws on religious and mythological imagery as well as personal inspiration from books, media, and life experiences. Turner sees his work not only as an act of self-expression but also as a tool, an image that others might use as a visual aid or for decorative purposes.

“I try to get better at painting with every new project I do,” Turner explains. “Although I’ve made mistakes along the way, I don’t let failures or inadequacies dissuade me from continuing to make new works and keep growing my skill, because I know that development is not always pretty, and that mistakes are just a part of the journey.”

Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Turner earned an associate’s degree in fine art with a focus in drawing from the University of New Mexico. He worked as a freelance illustrator from 2020 to 2023 before completing his MFA at the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting in Baltimore, where he studied under Stephen Ellis. Now based in San Antonio, Turner balances teaching with ongoing training at the Coppini Academy while continuing to refine his craft.

Monstrous Visions will be on view during Second Saturday, a monthly celebration of contemporary art along the Lone Star Arts District.

Chaparelle is bringing their high energy and Texas-based country tunes to Gruene Hall for the Gruene Music and Wine Fest! Raise your glasses and get ready for a night to remember on October 11th, starting at 8pm.

Pollinator BioBlitz participants observe and identify pollinators. This virtual event is open to all ages and abilities interested in finding pollinators and nectar-producing plants, taking photos, and sharing with friends! Share observations by posting a photo or video to Instagram, iNaturalist, or the Facebook event page. Pollinator observation challenges and informative links will be emailed to all registered participants regularly to add to the fun.
