Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a beginner, this in-person event is perfect for anyone looking to enhance their gardening skills. You'll have the opportunity to learn from expert gardeners and fellow gardening enthusiasts, who will share their knowledge and tips on various gardening techniques. From choosing the right plants for your garden to proper soil preparation and maintenance, we'll cover all the essentials you need to know to create a thriving garden.

Texas A&M Forest Service Firewise USA Program Coordinator Kari Hines will present “Fire-resistant Landscaping”
During this 1-hour session, participants will be introduced to the basics of protecting their homes, property, and communities from wildfire. Preparing the home and landscaping for the potential of a wildfire is something that most everyone can take action on. Choices will vary based on personal preferences, but there is almost always an option for doing something. Participants will work in small groups to discuss group questions and talk through what "preparing for wildfire" means to them.

San Antonio Water System Planner II Cleveland Powell will present "Utilizing Native Grasses in Residential Landscapes"
Learn why native grasses are establishing themselves as beautiful, drought tolerant improvements to any San Antonio landscape. From formal plantings to lawn replacements native grasses can solve a variety of landscape problems.
