Birding for Beginners

Learn to hear and observe birds, identify bird species using binoculars, and use the free digital app Merlin Bird ID from Parks and Recreation education coordinator David Goree. Included in the program is an outdoor component for real-time birding!

This session will begin with a presentation inside and then move outside to learn and observe. You may bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair from us! Teens and adults welcome.
